SUMMARY:STREAMLINE at “European Researchers’ Night 2023”- invitation for participation
DESCRIPTION:We would like to announce workshop that will be held as part of the event: „European Researchers’ Night 2023“ within “Fascination by innovation” activities. The workshop entitled: “From Stem to Mature Cells and Back-Patient-Specific Model Systems for Studying Neurodevelopmental Diseases”” will be held on 30.09.2023 from 04 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Faculty of Physical Chemistry\, University of Belgrade (Studentski trg 12-16). In a popular science manner\, visitors will be introduced to the methodology of cell reprogramming and obtaining neurons and astrocytes from induced pluripotent stem cells. The attendees will learn about the advantages of these patient-specific model systems compared to animal models that have been used so far to study neurodevelopmental disease mechanisms and drug testing (www.nocistrazivaca.rs). We warmly invite everyone to join to this interesting gathering under the light of science.
